Congratulations to the Mississippi Hospitals That Received 2024 Chest Pain-MI Registry™ Performance Achievement Awards from The American College of Cardiology

Awarded by The American College of Cardiology, the 2024 Chest Pain – MI Registry Performance Achievement Awards are based on each hospital’s efficacy to meet specific measures as they relate to the institution’s recorded data submissions.

STEMI and NSTEMI Composite Criteria included whether eligible care opportunities were delivered, and the Defect Free Care Composite evaluated whether patients received ALL care opportunities for which they were eligible. An example of some of the performance measures included door-in and door-out time (STEMI only), evaluation of LV systolic function, cardiac rehabilitation referrals, reperfusion therapy (STEMI only), and whether patients were discharged with continuum of care treatments including aspirin, beta blockers or high-intensity statins. The data collected for this program allows the Mississippi Healthcare Alliance to build programming and protocols to foster
higher performance for statewide hospitals.

About the Mississippi Healthcare Alliance

Our mission is to help hospitals, EMS agencies and communities. We have helped them by creating the STEMI System of Care (SOC), Stroke SOC, Cardiac
Arrest Collaborative, and most recently, the Sepsis Collaborative, to provide standard care guidelines to reduce mortality, morbidity, and financial strains.

MHCA provides funding for numerous activities to reduce mortality, morbidity, and the financial burden in the State of Mississippi due to cardiovascular disease, stroke, and sepsis.
